At Springs Roofing, we take pride in nurturing talent from the ground up – and Peter Todd’s career is a perfect example of this philosophy in action.

Peter joined our team in February 2008 as a roof tiler, quickly demonstrating skill, precision, and versatility. Over the years, he mastered a wide range of techniques, including slating and tiling, and even completed some truly impressive vertical tiling projects.

Recognising his dedication and leadership potential, Peter was promoted to site supervisor in April 2021. In this role, he led his own squad, not only managing teams effectively but also continuing to refine his craftsmanship on challenging projects.

Peter’s growth didn’t stop there. In June 2025, he stepped into the role of Contracts Manager, taking responsibility for organising labour and materials, managing both subcontractors and direct employees, and liaising with some of our biggest clients, including RE:GEN North East and North Tyneside Council. His journey reflects a seamless blend of hands-on skill and strategic oversight, showcasing the opportunities for career progression within Springs Roofing.

Peter was responsible for upskilling a number of our employees, and helping them to develop in to fully skilled roofers themselves. His promotion to contracts manager is recognition of his contributions to date, but also the first step in to furthering his development as he represents Springs Roofing at a higher level. His new position will throw new challenges at him, but I have every confidence that he will take everything in his stride and will fit into our management team perfectly.””
